A multi-strategy and multi billion dollar hedge fund is looking to build out its eTrading/eCommerce business and need to bring on an FX spot researcher/trader.

JOB DESCRIPTION

A multi-strategy and multi billion dollar hedge fund is looking to build out its eTrading/eCommerce business and need to bring on an FX spot researcher/trader. The hybrid role is unique in the sense that the individual will be directly impacting the business on multiple fronts. The methodology is split into various areas of execution, trading model development and research.

Locations:   New York, USA

The role:

• Interact with sales team, traders, and developers on a daily basis.

• Electronic trading exposure – trading FX products and assisting in managing various books.

• Maximize profitably of client flows

• Assessing, critiquing and updating methodologies which generate them.

• Opportunity to further move up the alpha spectrum

Requirements:

• Experience in fx spot trading, financial derivatives and markets.

• Effective communication between sales team, algo development group, and others across the desk is important. Strong communication skills including presenting and writing reports.

• Able to develop new ideas and conduct independent research using financial data

• Looking for a challenging position with responsibilities as well as opportunities within a focused, multi-disciplinary team.

• Academics in a quantitative subject.

• Very good technically - the more programming languages the better.
