The Corporate Controllers group provides finance support for all businesses globally. The Benefits Controllers group provides finance support for all U.S. businesses for pension and other employee benefit plans, including financial reporting and analysis, regulatory filings, and tax reporting. The group is also responsible for developing the U.S. benefits budget and other forecasts for the firm's employee benefit plans. The group prepares and files financial statements required by the SEC and DOL for all U.S. benefit plans, and also provides extensive support to internal and external auditors.
We are seeking a Financial Analyst for our U.S. benefits plans. Qualifications include a strong accounting & audit background, investment product knowledge, and good organizational skills. Responsibilities include the following:
- Support internal and external audits of U.S. plans.
- Prepare financial schedules and investment disclosures for regulatory filings (e.g. 10-K, 10-Q)
- Perform mark-to-market adjustments of investment performance, as well perform impairment review of investments.
- Prepare analysis and reporting for the plans' investments, including fair value reporting level in accordance with ASC 820 (formerly FAS157).
- Prepare tax schedules for U.S. benefit plans.
- Prepare financial reporting for deferred compensation plans.
- Review of external vendor SAS 70's.
- Support colleagues in other corporate groups (Finance, Investments, HR and Tax).
- Experience with regulatory and financial reporting/analysis preferred
- CPA preferred but not required
- Strong understanding of accounting and finance fundamentals
- Strong knowledge of investment products
- Strong analytical, interpersonal and communications skills required
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced and deadline sensitive environment
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail
- Strong MS Excel skills and proficiency with MS Word and MS Powerpoint

Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 3-5 years experience- Experience with regulatory and financial reporting/analysis preferred
- CPA preferred but not required
- Strong understanding of accounting and finance fundamentals
- Strong knowledge of investment products
- Strong analytical, interpersonal and communications skills required
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced and deadline sensitive environment
