Junior Financial Controller – Global Bank

This global bank offers a challenging, stimulating, dynamic work environment with opportunities to contribute to a diverse range of work and projects. Reporting to the Head of Finance, your responsibilities will include:

• Supervise, coordinate with the offshore team on A/P, A/R and Travel & Entertainment processing
• In charge of intercompany accounting and reconciliation
• Oversee GL reconciliation process for  the three Singapore entities and supervise the offshore team on the outsourced activity
• Rectify irregularity, prepare journal entries and annual financial reports
• Prepare and review MAS Banking Returns
• Assist in audit and examination by handling inquires from auditors and regulators
• Handle regular tax filings and annual tax computation, ad hoc assignments or projects

The ideal candidate should have a degree in Accountancy or ACCA and minimum five years of experience in financial institution preferably from offshore banks. Audit experience in banks is welcome. He/she has to be a hand on person, knowledge to perform full set of accounting, able to submit quality and accurate work in a timely manner and willing to work under pressure to meet tight reporting deadline. Organised, diligent, meticulous, responsible and a good team player would be an advantage. Experience in using Peoplesoft software is preferred.
