Human Resources Officer Job in Kenya

We are a Human Resources Consulting firm and would like to fill in the following vacancies:

Position: Human Resources Officer
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure contracts and personal records of staff are done and up to date.
  • Preparing and maintaining all staff files and records.
  • Developing and performing staff appraisals.
  • Assessing training needs and conducting trainings
  • Leave administration
  • Participate in review of the company’s HR policies and procedures and ensure effective implementation of the same within the company.
  • Coordinating recruitment and selection activities and ensure that new employees are properly oriented
  • Update and maintain job descriptions for all positions in the company and maintain the job evaluation programme
  • Overall responsibility for the accuracy of information on the computerized system and ensuring that the system is updated, maintained and used to its maximum effectiveness.
  • Handle employees disciplinary issues and grievances
Essential Technical Competences:
  • A Higher Diploma, preferably in Business Management/Human Resource or an equivalent
  • At least three (3) years’ experience in Human Resources.
  • Good understanding of Kenyan labour laws.
  • Proficient in computer packages- Ms Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proven organizational, analytical, communication (oral and written) and presentation skills
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and to meet strict deadlines
  • Team player and self motivated
