Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure contracts and personal records of staff are done and up to date.
- Preparing and maintaining all staff files and records.
- Developing and performing staff appraisals.
- Assessing training needs and conducting trainings
- Leave administration
- Participate in review of the company’s HR policies and procedures and ensure effective implementation of the same within the company.
- Coordinating recruitment and selection activities and ensure that new employees are properly oriented
- Update and maintain job descriptions for all positions in the company and maintain the job evaluation programme
- Overall responsibility for the accuracy of information on the computerized system and ensuring that the system is updated, maintained and used to its maximum effectiveness.
- Handle employees disciplinary issues and grievances
Essential Technical Competences:
- A Higher Diploma, preferably in Business Management/Human Resource or an equivalent
- At least three (3) years’ experience in Human Resources.
- Good understanding of Kenyan labour laws.
- Proficient in computer packages- Ms Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proven organizational, analytical, communication (oral and written) and presentation skills
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and to meet strict deadlines
- Team player and self motivated
