Duties and Responsibilities
- Planning and organizing accommodation, catering and other hotel services
- Promoting and marketing the business
- Managing budgets and financial plans as well as controlling expenditure
- Maintaining statistical and financial records
- Setting and achieving sales and profit targets
- Analyzing sales figures and devising marketing and revenue management strategies
- Planning work schedules for individuals and teams
- Dealing with customer complaints and comments
- Ensuring events and conferences run smoothly
- Supervising maintenance, supplies, renovations and furnishings
- Insuring security is effective
- Carrying out inspections of property and services
- Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations.
- Conduct regular meetings with heads of department on a weekly basis to coordinate and monitor the progress of business strategies.
Essential Technical Competences:
- Diploma in institutions' management, hospitality services, foods and nutrition, business administration or other related field.
- Atleast 5 years experience in the Hotel industry with three (3) years in the capacity of a hotel manager
- Must have worked in a hotel with an accommodation capacity of atleast 25 rooms
- Entrepreneurship and building and growing a strong business is essential to success in this role.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and support staff.
- Proficient in computer packages- Ms Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Age: 32 – 45yrs
