Our client is a multi strategy hedge fund seeking a bilingual Credit Analyst for their deal analysis team. This Analyst will be reponsible for credit review approval and analyzing credit and credit risk as it relates to various lending and trading strategies for the fund.
You will work directly with Relationship Managers and Credit Officers to gather financial data, perform modeling and financial due diligence, research publicly available credit ratings data as well as a client’s industry sector.
Direct responsibilities include:
- Gathering documentation for underwriting packages including balance sheet and cash flow statements, revenue projections and more
- Researching Moody’s, S&P, Bloomberg and other financial databases to acquire credit ratings and publicly available company information
- Perform financial modeling, discounted cash flows, regression analyses and more to support the credit decision process
- Preparing materials for presentation to credit committees
- Authoring and providing letters of credit to outside institutions
- Performing ongoing risk analysis of the existing lending portfolio
As the proper candidate for this role, you will have the following qualifications:
- 4+ years of credit analysis experience including participation in a bank rotational program
- Experience in analyzing financial statements and modeling financial scenarios
- Work with traditional corporate lending in the $1mm - $100mm range
- Excellent proficiency with Excel, Access and other financial softwares
- A Bachelor’s degree mandatory (formal credit training A+)
- Spanish or Portuguese fluency (preferred)
