Analyst, Portfolio Management

Strategic Investment Group is searching for a new Analyst, Portfolio Management, to assist in all aspects of the portfolio management of globally diversified portfolios.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned to meet business needs):

• Assist in all aspects of the portfolio management of globally diversified portfolios.
• Assist in deriving and verifying portfolio reallocations.
• Monitor portfolio positions in both physical and derivative securities.
• Maintain required data and spreadsheets.
• Analyze execution of indexing and overlay strategies in equity and fixed income and conduct attribution analysis of historical performance.
• Perform compliance requirements associated with certain derivative securities.

Preferred Qualifications/Requirements:

• Two years’ institutional investment experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or Engineering.
• Strong quantitative skills, including coursework and facility with statistical analysis. Coursework and facility with programming techniques and logic including relational database theory.
• Experience building and maintaining SQL scripts, indexes, and complex queries for data analysis and extraction and using Excel, Microsoft Visual Basic for Excel, Crystal reports.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills, team orientation, and professional demeanor.
• Ability to independently manage projects and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
