A large industrial concern wishes to fill the following position urgently

Environment & Social Issues Expert

The Environment & Social Issues Expert will be responsible to the Operations Manager.

Requirements

• BSc. Degree in Environmental Science.
• Proven record of at least 10 years in environmental impact assessment, environment audits and the handling of workplace social issues.
• Relevant experience in dust abatement, child labour law and noise pollution management
• A trained peer educator will be an added advantage.
• Flexibility to varying working hours.
• A mature individual with a high level of discretion and unquestionable integrity.

Responsibilities

• Implementation of the Environmental Management Systems.
• Implementation of the HIV/AIDS development Programme
• Implementation of Safety and Health issues.
• Training the staff on environmental objectives and procedures.
• Rendering reports, attending monthly meetings and replying to queries raised.
