Vice President, Sales

Leading provider of quantitative analytics and software is looking to hire a senior salesperson responsible for the overall sales growth in a Midwest territory of investment management prospects/clients. The individual will report to the Managing Director, Sales and Marketing.

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

•  Responsible for closing at least $1 million in new annual revenue through the sales of the entire suite of fixed income, equity and multi-asset class analytical products. Full ownership of the entire sales cycle, including aggressive prospecting activity, product demonstrations, negotiations and closing. Frequent travel is expected within the assigned territory to develop and manage the sales process as necessary.
•  Maintain adequate pipeline and prospect reports and deliver these reports as required by the Head of Analytics Sales.
•  Interact with team members on best practices, leads and other team building activities including periodic training exercises. Also build relationships across the firm to support the overall growth of the entire platform as appropriate.

EDUCATION:

•  BA/BS required.
•  Advanced degree and/or CFA is a plus

WORK EXPERIENCE & ACQUIRED SKILLS:

•  Minimum of 5 years of experience within the financial services risk management/analytics sales industry to include:
•  Extensive experience in product sales
•  Proven track record of successful sales results and growth
•  Familiarity with the marketplace needs and demands
•  Experience in risk models and performance attribution preferred
•  Superior verbal and written communication skills
•  Superior organizational skills including a demonstration of sales system utilization
•  Quantitative and analytical ability required
•  Independent thinker yet attentive to detail and accuracy
•  Demonstrable track record of competitive success
•  Willingness to work with peers to grow a platform
