POSITION
TIAA-CREF's Trust Company has been expanding rapidly and is on target to increase our trust business by approximately fifteen percent this year. As we continue to expand we are seeking a Senior Personal Trust Administrator in Boston or Waltham, Massachusetts. In our rapidly growing environment you will have the opportunity to handle the end-to-end client administration of personal trust and investment management accounts that are greater than 1.5M. In addition you will have the opportunity to develop ongoing relationships with clients to ensure that they are receiving the most appropriate and best service from our Trust Company.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with the more complex and challenging clients accounts greater than 1.5M including analyzing agreements, procuring proper account documentation, insuring compliance, monitoring operations output and effecting distributions and other account-related transactions
- Review, interpret and implement policies and procedures within compliance and departmental guidelines
- Responsible for improving client satisfaction through periodic contact, analysis of clients' problems and concerns and assistance in addressing clients' financial needs
- Keep current on applicable fiduciary and tax laws through attending seminars and courses to deliver thorough and authoritative trust solutions to clients
- Deepen client relationships through a keen understanding of the client and their life situation to better advise on account additions or upgrades and increase retention with the next generation
- Work with and support field advisors regarding trust products to win new business
- Work in a collaborative team environment to provide a high level of service to clients while supporting the development client relationships with Portfolio Managers and Wealth Advisors who share in the servicing of clients
- Provide guidance to more junior Administrators
- Ten or more years of expertise in fiduciary trust administration
- Strong analytical skills and sound understanding of investment concepts
- Knowledge of trust systems including SEI, CSS, imaging tools and other applications
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Detail oriented and strong organizational skills
- Must be able to work collaboratively for the overall benefit of the client across multiple company divisions
EDUCATION
- Bachelor of Arts degree or equivalent required
- CFP or CTFA preferred
