Manager, Financial Analysis

Opportunities in expense management/financial analysis at Prudential. Exposure to expense accounting functions and managing a small staff. Accounting/ finance degrees desired.

This position will report to the Director of Expense Management within Retirement Finance. Responsibilities include but are not limited to management of one or more staff, partnering with business line management to gain a thorough understanding of expense drivers, managing the build of multi-year expense budgets and forecasts, presenting monthly expense variance analysis to business line managers, partnering to build strategic scenario modeling and drive cost efficiencies

Primary responsibilities include:

• Ensuring accurate and detailed build of expense budgets and forecasts
• Providing insightful and actionable monthly variance analysis and reporting
• Managing monthly close activity in accordance with GAAP
• Managing a staff of one or more
• Research and analysis for adhoc reporting
• Partnering with business line management and finance peers

Skills

• Bachelor's degree with a major in finance or accounting
• 5 years experience in an expense management function
• CPA or MBA degree is preferred
• Previous management experience
• Proficient PC skills are required (Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
• Knowledge of GAAP accounting
• Strong analytical & organizational skills with close attention to detail
• Effective communication/interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as a team member
