Established systematic global macro fund is looking for an experienced data engineer/analyst with buy-side experience to develops tools to analyze large data sets.
Successful candidate will be responsible for:
Sourcing new data across asset classes for the fund.
Developing tools to import, validate, scrub, and prime large data sets for use.
Work with the quant researchers to analyze the data witht he end goal being the development of new trading strategies.
Financial experience in a similar role is required. Preferably on the buy-side with a variety of financial products.
Database programming experience is required. SQL, Oracle and/or Sybase is highly preferred.
Excellent communication skills and a degree from a top school in an engineering, technical or analytical disciplineis required as well.
