Syntheo, a joint venture between Lend Lease and Service Stream, has been contracted to design and build part of Australia’s first national, high-speed broadband platform – The National Broadband Network (NBN).   This is an extraordinary nation-building program that has the potential to enhance Australia’s position within the global economy.

The NBN is set to revolutionise telecommunications infrastructure by allowing schools, hospitals, and businesses to function on par with global leaders in the online world by serving the community with a super fast broadband service.

We’re looking for an experienced Finance Manager/ Snr. Accountant to be key part of our Syntheo Finance Team based in The Gauge at Victoria Harbour. The Assistant Finance Manager will primarily focus on the operational financial control, financial/performance management, analysis and reporting of the Syntheo project, nationally.

You will consult and provide support to the project team in decision making, processes development and commercial recommendations to assist with mitigating risk and achieving financial targets.Providing leadership, training and development to other team members to drive financial control and compliance, is also a component of this role.

To be successful in your application you will be degree qualified in Accounting with either CPA or CA qualified and comprehensive excel modelling experience is essential. You’ll have experience as a senior financial or management accountant or manager and be a flexible team player able to assist the project team with key reporting deliverables. We’d like you to have demonstrated experience of the construction industry including a thorough understanding of the value creation process and key commercial and financial risks in construction.
