Analysts – Fixed Income Credit Research

Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM) is responsible for the management of the Government Pension Fund Global and the Foreign Exchange Reserves. Portfolios are valued at more than USD 600 billion and invested in international fixed income, equity and real estate markets.
The Fixed Income department is responsible for managing NBIMs fixed income portfolios. Credit Research is one of three groups in the department, responsible for fundamental analysis of all bond issuers in the fixed income portfolio.  We are currently looking to further strengthen the group with additional credit analysts, each responsible for specific corporate sectors.
The positions are located in New York or Oslo, and travel will be required.
Main Responsibilities:
• Independent analysis of industrial corporates across Europe, North America and Asia
• Fundamental analysis of credit risk and vulnerability in business models, capital structures and profitability
• Analysis of debt capital markets across products and sectors
• Build and maintain models for issuer analysis and monitoring
Main Qualifications:
• Master’s degree or equivalent with strong academic records
• 2-5 years of experience with financial analysis from asset management, investment banking or similar
• Detailed knowledge of and analytical capacity for corporates’ accounting and financial statements
• Strong analytical skills and technical insight
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills and fluency in written and  spoken English
