Analyst

This venture capital firm is seeking to add a Pre-MBA Analyst to work with the General Partners and investment team across the full spectrum of investing activities, including: market analysis, research, due diligence and portfolio company management.

Primary responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with all stages of due diligence including financial modeling, market & competitive analysis, and conducting primary & secondary research.
• Supporting existing portfolio company investments through ongoing analysis and review with other investment professionals in the firm.
• Developing rigorous financial models and sensitivity analyses.
• Preparing presentation materials to support investment recommendations or synthesizing key research finding to important stakeholders.
• Maintaining updated operating and financial information for each of the firm’s portfolio companies, including: capital structure, financial projections, etc.
• Supporting the execution of deals including external coordination with portfolio company constituents.
• Managing ad hoc research projects per the priorities of the firm.

Required Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in science, engineering or business administration with a demonstrated record of academic achievement.
• 2+ years experience in top-tier consulting, investment banking, corporate business development or private equity.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and the ability to perform complex financial modeling in Excel. 
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with capacity and experience to translate research findings into compelling Powerpoint presentations.
